In 2008, participation and donations helped raise $140,000 to help the Atlanta Community Food Bank provide its partner agencies approximately 1 million pounds of food a month to fight hunger! The committee is confident that with your support in 2009 we will achieve our goal of donating $100,000 to the Atlanta Community Food Bank as part of the largest food drive in the country.

About the Can Can Ball

For 25 years members of the Atlanta Apartment Association have joined together to support the Atlanta Community Food Banks efforts to fight hunger resulting in the largest food drive in the country. During this time the annual Can Can Ball was founded. This black tie optional event is one of the largest in Atlanta and the largest single fund raising event for the ACFB.

On Friday, August 21, 2009 at 8:00pm we’ll celebrate the 19th annual Can Can Ball at the Sheraton Atlanta. An event like no other, attendees will enjoy light fare from over 15 area chefs, cash bar, dancing to the selections of a nationally known DJ, and the ever popular silent auction featuring over 150 items.

Affectionately referred to as the “Apartment Prom” the Can Can Ball is possible due to the enthusiastic, generous, celebratory group of industry professionals who continue to rally around the cause through sponsorships, donation of auction items, volunteering their time and talent, purchasing tickets, and attending the event.
